About Us

Who we are and what makes us different

DontHit.org offers an alternative approach to supporting individuals facing domestic violence or sexual abuse. While the traditional model often imposes assistance regardless of readiness, our organization embraces a different philosophy: "We are here for you when you are ready." By respecting the individual's timeline and readiness, DontHit.org aims to provide a more empowering and personalized form of help.

Our Story

Law enforcement officers have been motivated to create an unorthodox program that challenges the existing methods of assisting victims of abuse due to firsthand experiences. Witnessing the unintended negative consequences of certain approaches, these officers have embarked on a mission to revolutionize victim support.

By creating an alternative program, they aim to address the unique needs of abuse victims in a more comprehensive and empowering manner. This innovative initiative seeks to break free from the rigidity of established norms, fostering a paradigm shift in how victims are approached and assisted. By challenging the status quo, these dedicated individuals aspire to offer a more compassionate, effective, and tailored approach that can truly make a positive impact on the lives of abuse survivors, regardless the outcome of the case.
